It was a great day to be a Republican in Weld County today.  The Weld County Assembly was held Saturday, March 29th and the results of all the races are outlined below. 

CONTESTED RACES:

Weld County Sheriff:

347 Votes Cast

346 Legal

1 Illegal

Reams:  218 votes or 62.82%

Olson:  128 votes or 36.898% 


Weld County Clerk and Recorder

348 votes

348 legal 

Koppes:  230 votes or 66.09%

Trevino: 118 or 33.91%


Weld County Comissioner at Large

349 votes

349 legal

Moreno:  194 votes or 55.59%

Achziger:  155 votes or 44.41%


As all of the candidates in the races outlined above received 30% or more of the vote, they were all designated to the Primary Election on June 24, 2014.

Weld County Assessor – Chris Woodruff 

Weld County Commissioner, District 2 – Julie Cozad

Representative, House District 48 – Steve Humphrey 

Representative, House District 50 – Isaia Aricayos 

Representative, House District 63 – Lori Saine 

Senator, Senate District 13 – John Cooke

As all of the candidates in the races outlined were all uncontested in their nominations, they have each been designated to the Primary Election on June 24, 2014.

Candidates may also petition onto the ballot.  The deadline for submitting petition signatures is Monday, March 31st.  We will keep you apprised of any successful petition candidates who are successful in this process.
